
DJJantae “DJ” McCommons brings five years of real world business experience to his Business Tech classes at FPHS where he also teaches Yearbook, Desktop Publishing and 7th and 8th grade computer literacy. DJ has a Business Management degree from Cincinnati Christian University and a masters in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University. DJ is our HS Varsity Basketball Coach, and he is excited about the opportunity to work with the students in an academic setting. DJ enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, golfing, and watching educational videos.

Abigail Triplett teaches fifth grade math at FPES. She has a degree in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in math and social studies from Ohio University and holds a Middle Childhood (4-9) license. Abby is excited to join the fifth grade team and is working hard to prepare her students for middle school. She has a pet goat named Jill from her time in 4H,and when she's not at school, Abby likes watching movies and hanging out with her family.

Kacey Smith is an Intervention Specialist at FPMS. She graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Special Education and has an Intervention Specialist (k-12) license. Kacey has education in her blood; her father is a HS principal. She lives with her parents and brother in Williamsburg, Ohio, and they are diehard Ohio State fans! When she’s not at school, Kacey enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, and playing softball and volleyball.

Gabby Valentine is a Rocket alumna who teaches fourth grade math at FPES. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Berea College and holds an Elementary Education Pre-K through 5th grade licensure. Gabby loves volleyball, and she’s excited to be the Assistant Volleyball Coach for the high school this year. Gabby enjoys organizing and interior design. She’s planning a Christmas wedding with our very own Ag. Teacher and FFA Advisor, Nathan Birkhimer, and she can’t wait to decorate their new home together.

Shannon Coyle is in her fifth year teaching at the elementary level, and she currently teaches second grade at FPES. She has a B.A. in Education from Wilmington College and is currently pursuing her master’s degree. Shannon holds an Early Childhood Education Pre-K through 3rd grade license with a 4th and 5th grade Generalist Endorsement and a K-12 Reading Endorsement. Shannon and her husband have three children, and their family loves camping, kayaking, and playing music around the campfire.

Jennifer Gilpin comes to us with thirteen years of experience having previously taught at the middle school and collegiate levels.She currently teaches 10th and 12th grade English, CCP Composition, and Mythology at FPHS. Jennifer has a BA and MA in English from Marshall University and a Masters of Education in Secondary Education from Xavier University. She is also a licensed K-12 Intervention Specialist. When she’s not at school, Jennifer likes to garden and spend time with her husband and young daughter.

Dawn Grippa brings five years of experience in RTI, Intervention and Cross-Categorical education to her current position as the sixth and seventh grade Intervention Specialist at FPMS. Dawn attended Xavier University where she earned a BS in Early Childhood Education and a Masters of Education in Special Education. When she’s not in the classroom, Dawn enjoys spending time with her nine-year-old son, who is a 4th grade Rocket at Fayetteville Elementary, and they love all things Disney!

Roger Griffith brings thirty-four years of experience to FPHS where he teaches Physical Science, Physics, and Chemistry. Roger has a BA in Secondary Comprehensive Education from Miami University and a Masters in School Counseling from Xavier University. Roger is married and has three children -- two sons and a daughter. He lives in Brown County where he enjoys farming and serving as a Pike Township trustee..

Hannah Buchanan teaches Algebra I and Geometry to Freshmen and Sophomores at FPHS. She comes to us with a degree in Math and Language Arts from Miami University. Hannah has a two-year-old son, Joseph, and she was recently married to her husband Josh, who also brings his four-year-old daughter, Alayna, to the family. Hannah and Josh are busy with their growing family; they are expecting a new baby at the end of March.
