TECHNOLOGY

The Technology department oversees the architecture, hardware, software, voice communications, and networking for all devices within the district.

In the realm of classroom technology, we recognize the pivotal role of technology in shaping the educational experience for our students in the 21st century. To support education in our classrooms, we provide the following technological resources:

  • 1-to-1 student Chromebooks for Grades K - 12.

  • Laptops and Chromebooks for all teachers.

  • Projectors and sound reinforcement systems in all classrooms.

  • Interactive viewboards for Literacy and Intervention classrooms

  • An enterprise-class wireless system that delivers a wired-like experience for all mobile devices.

  • Implementing world-class web filtering to eliminate classroom distractions and enhance productivity for both staff and students.

We have chosen G Suite for Education by Google to enhance collaboration and productivity for both staff and students, spanning grades K-12. G Suite for Education is a web-based suite of programs designed to facilitate educational activities. Key features include:

  • Gmail: Email storage and search tools, along with instant messaging.

  • Google Drive: Collaboration on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real-time.

  • Google Calendar: Schedule organization and sharing of events and calendars.

  • Google Sites: Creation of web content for teachers, schools, teams, or departments.

  • Google Classroom: An all-in-one platform for teaching, learning, and managing educational experiences.

The beauty of G Suite lies in its accessibility from anywhere with an Internet connection, ensuring a consistent experience across different locations. This online platform facilitates easy sharing of documents and files, allowing for electronic submission of assignments and collaborative project work.
