For his life skill this week, Mr. Birkhimer taught his classes the importance of proper air pressure in tires. Students learned how to find the correct amount of psi needed for tires, and how to use a stick and digital gauge!





๐UPDATE!!! Tonight's HOME Football game will be @ 6pm. The PARADE THROUGH TOWN HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Homecoming attendants will meet in HS Gym at 5pm with introduction of attendants at 5:30pm at the Field. Announcement of Homecoming King and Queen with take place during halftime.

Kevin Dutro is in his thirty-second year at FPLS where he currently teaches K-6 Physical Education. During his time at Fayetteville, Kevin has taught 7th/8th grade English, 5th grade math, and 5th-8th PE. He has a Bachelorโs in Elementary Education from Ohio University, a Masterโs in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, and he holds all three principalโs licenses! During Kevinโs long career at FPLS, he has impacted and inspired thousands of children, including many of our current teachers and administrators. When heโs not at school, Kevin loves watching sporting events -- especially when he has a chance to root for the Rockets!


Michelle Purdin is in her 30th year of teaching at FPES! She has a B.A. in K-8 Education from Morehead State University, and a M.S. in Education and Allied Professions from the University of Dayton. Michelle spent the first twenty-nine years of her career teaching 4th grade math, but when the need for a proven math teacher for 3rd grade arose, she accepted the challenge to help fill the districtโs need. Michelle serves on both Teacher Based Teams and the Building Leadership Team. When sheโs not at school, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, boating, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Michelle and her husband have been married for twenty-five years, and they are long-time members of the Mr. Orab Church of Christ.


Mendy Hamilton has been a smiling face in the ES hallways for almost two decades! She has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Wilmington and a Masters in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Reading. Mendy is currently teaching K-3 science and reading intervention. She is a member of two district leadership teams, and serves on the Literacy Committee. Mendy was an essential part of the organization and creation of the ES Learning Garden which will be awarded the Wild School Site designation by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources! In addition to working hard for her students, Mendy also supported her fellow teachers by serving as the FPEA President for eight years. In her time away from school, Mendy and her husband are remodeling an 1800โs Victorian farmhouse.
