Michelle Purdin is in her 30th year of teaching at FPES! She has a B.A. in K-8 Education from Morehead State University, and a M.S. in Education and Allied Professions from the University of Dayton. Michelle spent the first twenty-nine years of her career teaching 4th grade math, but when the need for a proven math teacher for 3rd grade arose, she accepted the challenge to help fill the districtโs need. Michelle serves on both Teacher Based Teams and the Building Leadership Team. When sheโs not at school, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, boating, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Michelle and her husband have been married for twenty-five years, and they are long-time members of the Mr. Orab Church of Christ.

Mendy Hamilton has been a smiling face in the ES hallways for almost two decades! She has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Wilmington and a Masters in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Reading. Mendy is currently teaching K-3 science and reading intervention. She is a member of two district leadership teams, and serves on the Literacy Committee. Mendy was an essential part of the organization and creation of the ES Learning Garden which will be awarded the Wild School Site designation by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources! In addition to working hard for her students, Mendy also supported her fellow teachers by serving as the FPEA President for eight years. In her time away from school, Mendy and her husband are remodeling an 1800โs Victorian farmhouse.
