Governor and Mrs. DeWine visited FPLS today to see firsthand how evidence-based, Science of Reading strategies are improving reading instruction in our classrooms. Following their classroom visit, they toured the Rocket 🚀 Community Wellness Center construction site, signed the final beam alongside our students and staff, and watched as it was raised into place. This marks the second visit in as many years for Governor DeWine, who continues to highlight how Fayetteville is leveraging competitive grant funding to strengthen teacher efficacy, advance literacy and language instruction, and invest in the future to meet the needs of our community.

Rocket Parent/Guardian, I want to let you know that Governor DeWine will be visiting our campus tomorrow, Friday, October 24th, 2025 to observe a few of our elementary teachers working with students and to tour the construction site of our Rocket Community Wellness Center. During his visit, he will sign the final beam, just as our students and staff have done, and watch as the last piece of framing is bolted into place. Please understand this is a closed event for staff and students only. There are a lot of exciting things happening in Rocket Country! Have a good evening, and as always... Go Rockets! Two great HS teams played a great semi-final District match tonight. CCHS prevailed 1-0 weathering an aggressive offensive attack by our Rockets in the second half. Proud of our effort, and only our second loss of the year. Our 🚀⚽️ Class of 2026 led well!
