Holiday Hype is a part of our Positive Behavior and Intervention Supports (PBIS) plan. The PBIS team designed the morning activities to encourage students for positive behavior and to reduce anxiety before the first two exams. The hype was right!! The student body is ready to rock their exams. And as always…GO ROCKETS! πŸš€ 🟒βšͺ️ Photo 1: Leadership and teamwork skills are required for this challenge! Students were given the quest of flipping the tarp completely over while keeping everyone on the tarp. Laughter and critical thinking stills are just what they need before exams. Photo 2: Rice Crispy treats are decked out for the season. Students worked together in the kitchen to make their own sweet treat before exams. Photo 3: To win at Sequence, strategy and logic take precedence. This kind of thinking is like brain exercise--just what is needed before the big test! Photo 4: Exams can be stressful. Creating, painting, and designing an ornament reduces stress as students focus on mindfulness. Walking into an exam feeling refreshed is the perfect setup for success.

Students work on their leadership and teamwork skills as they flip the tarp completely over as small as possible while keeping everyone on it. A lot of laughter and critical thinking is required for this activity.
Rice Crispy treats decked out for the season. Students worked together in the kitchen to make their own holiday treat. A little sweet to eat before exams .
In order to win at Sequence, students put their brains to work strategizing their next move: a healthy brain exercise before exams.
Sometimes taking an exam can be stressful, so being artistically mindful relaxes and promotes a refreshed mindsetβ€”exactly what’s needed before an exam.
What a great surprise for the HS Staff on Friday, FTSR (SU) Evans, a 2022 Alumni stopped by for a visit! It was great visiting with him!
