Full-Time Technology assistant
The Technology Assistant duties include responding to help desk tickets, maintaining PC & Laptop hardware, installing and maintaining Windows PC operating systems, installing and maintaining approved licensed software, diagnosing hardware and software problems and performing periodic preventive maintenance.
This person must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational, planning, and project management skills. Individual must be self-motivated and detail oriented. Ability to work through assignments.
This a full-time (7:00am-3:30pm) 12 month position.
Recommended Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with 1:1programs
- Google Classroom and Microsoft Office
- Experience managing Windows and Mac servers (DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Print Management, etc.)
- Imaging with FOG
- Proficient with networking & wireless (maintenance of network connections (e.g., servers, routers, voice/data switches, video feeds, wiring, etc.)
- Laptop/PC hardware repair
- Oversee district-wide helpdesk services
- Accommodate learning styles of end-users with a wide range of interests/skill levels
- Excellent time management and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn new systems and technology
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual)
- Ability to lift and move computers, servers, and other computing devices (40-60lbs.)
- Ability to use a ladder
- Participate in school technology meetings, webinars, and training classes as required
- Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Information Technology
