Principal James Herron's Message
Welcome Back! My name is Mr. Herron and I am in my second year as the Principal of Fayetteville Middle School. As we start a new school year in these uncertain times, I believe that getting back into a routine has helped the students to adjust to the changes that have been instituted. First and foremost, be assured that we are doing everything possible to ensure the health and safety of everyone in the building. All teachers, students and staff are asked to wear a mask everyday while in the building. The teachers and custodians are cleaning high touch surfaces in between each class and we are social distancing as best as we can whenever possible. This year we welcomed a new teacher into the Middle School, Ms. Ogden is our new ELA teacher for 7th and 8th grades. Ms. Ogden comes to us from Northern Kentucky University and is in her first year of teaching. We are glad to have her and hope the students enjoy her classes. In the near future the Middle School will start the roll out of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports or PBIS. The goal of PBIS is to create a positive school climate in which students learn and grow. This program has already been in use in the Elementary School with great success, and the Middle School plans to continue that success. As always if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the office at 513-875-2829. Let’s have a great year And As Always … GO ROCKETS.
