Another season is here and everyone is ready to go!

I would like to welcome to our ROCKET Coaching staff… Mr. Javawn Marbury (JV Boys’ Basketball), Mr. Kevin Mell (Freshman Boys’ Basketball), Mr. Kenny Waddle (HS Softball), Ms. Kendra Dembski (JH Cheerleading), Mr. Josh Rummel (7th Grade Boys’ Basketball). Please see inside of the handbook for all Coaching staff and their contact information.

As in the past, the Student-Athlete/Parent Handbook is online. One thing that needs to be noted, this year ONLY for Fall 2020, all students (grades 7-12) are academically eligible to participate in athletics. Keep in mind our 1st grading period ends prior to the end of Fall Sports. At that time, our District policy and OHSAA grading policy will be re-enacted. Bussing to and from away games is the same (review in handbook), everyone must ride the bus to the games. It is at the Coaches discretion if athletes are permitted to be signed out and not ride the bus back to our school. Any special requests for athletes riding home with anyone other than their parent/guardian requires a parent note given and approved prior to 3:00 game day. Lastly, make sure to review the section in the Athletic and Student handbook regarding being late, tardy, and absent from school on game days.

This year the MANDATORY OHSAA Parent/Student Meeting and our Athletic Handbook will be online. All student-athletes and a parent/guardian are required to view the power point meeting along with STUDENT-ATHLETE/PARENT HANDBOOK. The last page of the handbook has a signature page that will need to be signed and turned into the coach. Along with other information, this signature page states that the OHSAA power point (pdf) AND the handbook have been reviewed.

*FYI*

Pay-to-Participate fees (for Fall 2020) must be paid by August 21, 2020 @ 12pm. in the HS office.

District Athletic passes can be purchased in the Middle Office (see price in handbook)

All schedule changes will be updated in Arbiter (fpls.us click on Athletics)
